Theresa and Joe's Fall Trip - New Hampshire and Vermont

Theresa and I had a great time watching all the leaves change colors.
We got in late on Saturday and started early the next day.  We drove down the Kancamagus Highway in the White Mountains in New Hampshire.

We hiked down a trail about 0.25 miles to get to this waterfall.

These are some of the views along the scenic highway.  There are entire hillsides covered with trees in all sorts of colors.

We decided to take a 4 mile hike down a trail to a pond.  Along the way, we found some really cool trees.  Lots of very bright colors.

Once we got to the pond it was a little disappointing.  There weren't very many colorful trees around it.  Mostly pine trees, but the views along the way definitely made up for it.

At one point, we found some pine trees with lots of red leaves that had fallen on them.  They looked just like ornaments decorating a Christmas tree.  In this photo, the yellow leaves even look like a star on the top!

Once we finished our hike we drove further down the road and actually got some sleet.

Here are the views along some of the roads we drove down.

We even got a rainbow!

Cascade Falls was cool to see.

One of the many covered bridges in New Hampshire.

Some of my HDR photos.
